Unusually for a school of our diminutive size, we are able to run an out of school hours child care program. Each afternoon our Out of School Hours Care coordinator caters for between three and fifteen children until six o’clock at minimal cost. (Costs are low as our OSHC program is run in-house as a not-for-profit enterprise). Children are provided with afternoon tea and then participate in supervised, child-centred activities. Families whose children attend are able to claim Child Care Benefits if they are eligible.
Several years ago our School Council agreed to run a trial program in response to family requests, not fully expecting that we could afford to continue it. We were pleasantly surprised when this proved not to be the case, and our OSHCare program has become an integral part of our school and its community.
Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer before-school care.
